To everything there is a season and, in this artwork by John Rossini that saying is printed on the sky and felt throughout every brushstroke. The viewer’s eye is first drawn to the bright light that indicates the sun it setting on this farmstead. Barn and houses are lit by the fading sun, and the water in the mud covered road is glistening in the light. Apple trees have lost their leaves, and the piles of apples that were produced are now featured on the cart in the foreground, along with the season’s harvest of pumpkins. Artist John Rossini is well-known for capturing everyday scenes and relaying them onto his canvas with a deep sense of realism. He selects strong architectural themes prevalent in New England, and tries to convey to the viewer exactly what he saw as he painted the landscape. Textured print is framed in black for wonderful contrast. To clean, lightly dust with a soft, dry cloth. USA. 9”H x 21”W
