Mutory Game Instructions

This game is the only known board game of the Maori tribe, the original inhabitants of New Zealand. Strategy might seem rather limited. A players move is often forced and he has at other times a choice of only two moves. However, this is still quite a challenging and fascinating game.

The game begins with the chips placed on the coordinating small circles. There are three ways to move your chips:
1. A chip may be moved from any point to the center circle, but only if there is one of the opponents chips on at least one point on either side of it.
2. A chip may be moved from the center circle to any open point.
3. A chip may be moved from any point to the next on either side.

The objective of the game is to block the opponent so that he can not move, and the first player to succeed in this is the winner.
