Polypropylene is a color-fast synthetic fiber that won't bleed or run. Stain, static and bacteria resistant, this fiber can be used both indoors and outdoors. Due to its easy-care capabilities, polypropylene rugs are best suited for high traffic areas and work especially well in children's rooms and living rooms.

Polypropylene rugs, chair pads and stair treads may be hosed off with warm water and laid flat to dry. Professional cleaning is not required.

WONDERFUL Review by K.J.
This (4' x 6' in "Tan Multi") is our second braided rug from Sturbridge, and we love it. This is for our entry, so the easy care of polypropylene was a major consideration, but we've discovered that we appreciate the softness, too. After a thorough inspection, our dog has decided that it is perfect for her spot at the front door, where she keeps the neighborhood under surveillance. All of us love it. (Posted on 8/6/17)
Not for pet owners! Review by Naturegal
I was thrilled to be able to purchase a braided rug made in USA that was said to be durable and easy to take care of. I saved up for this rug 3 years. I have a 7 year old dog who just in the course of rolling on the rug continues to pull out loop after loop. She is not even scratching at the rug. Years ago, I had a much cheaper braided rug, that although it was not washable , never had issues with pulling of the yarns. It is an everyday task trying to shove the loops back into the rug. In just a few weeks it looks like an old used rug. I wish I had never spent the $300 I paid. I don't know if one of the other Sturbridge rugs would be more suitable for dog owners, but I certainly wish this information was included somewhere. Very disappointing because I want to support American made goods and this company. (Posted on 1/6/17)
Lovely Rugs Review by Ling
This is the second set of three braided rugs (2x3 size) I have bought from Sturbridge. I've used the first set in my kitchen for about 10 years and love them, especially being made of polypropylene. I have three dogs, and love the fact that they clean so easily when the dogs track in dirt, and I also throw them in the washer on warm cycle about once a month. I only bought a new set because the old rugs are beginning to fade a bit after all these years and washings, so they do hold up quite well. The polypropylene makes tracked in dirt easy to rinse off and is stronger and lasts much longer than cotton rugs. The "rust" color of the new set of rugs was more of a dark maroon than I the color shown in the photo (which I would prefer), but the rugs are still very nice, and I will keep them. LOVE THESE! Review by Darlene
I bought two of the Heritage Braided Rugs 2'X3' to put in front of our two recliners in our living room. For some reason, those two spots (before these rugs) kept getting darker and bigger. Wouldn't wash/shampoo out with rug cleaner either. Now with these little rugs, nothing shows and the little braided rugs don't show any dirt or darker color either. I got the Burgundy Multi color that goes so well in that room. I have them laying on top of the carpet, in front of the chairs. They are now 4 months old and not a sign of wear. Love the fact that they can be used indoors or out and still so very soft on the bare feet. And so convenient to wash off outside with a hose and let them dry outdoors too....in the summer. I bought two of the 2X3' burgundy Heritage Braided Rugs to place in front of our two rocker recliners. They are very nice on bare feet....soft. I love the fact that they can be hosed down and dried outside and are good for inside or outside use. I absolutely love the colors in my burgundy rugs. I have accents of burgundy in my family room and these rugs just fit in perfectly and the colors stand out and look beautiful in that room. And are dark enough where they shouldn't show every little speck of dirt on them. I had some tan colored throw rugs down there first, and the day after I'd washed them and put them down in front of those chairs, by evening, they'd have a dark shadow mark right away, in the center or those rugs where your feet rest. Hated that. I sure love these braided rugs and saved up for them, and hopefully they will wear well and keep looking good. (Posted on 7/20/14)

20707 Heritage Braided Rug Review by Vickie
I've had my 7x9 rug for just about 5 months and there are at least 3 places where it has come apart & needs re-sewn. Not much value for all that $$$$. (Posted on 5/5/13)
Perfect! Review by paula
I ordered a 3x5 for the kitchen and loved the color, quality and PRICE so much that I had to order one to put under the dining room table. I shopped around quite abit before ordering and the price for the Heritage Braided rug was the best....I didn't expect the quality to be so high but it is!

Bought a 2nd Customer Service A +++++ Review by Alison
I purchased a second 8x11 in the Spruce Multi and it's gorgeous, it collects so much of the dirt and hair the dogs would have otherwise tracked through the house. I love these rugs and the price is incredible not to mentiosn it's made in AMERICA.

We had a mishap with our first rug which was completely my fault and the manufacturer worked with us to repair the problem at no cost to us since the rug was only a few weeks old. Had this rug been made outside the USA I doubt I'd have had such a wonderful experience. I'm currently trying to figure out where I can put a 3rd... Will definately buy another.

Love the Heritage Braided Rugs Review by Deb Palmer
My dogs were making a mess of our new wood floor and I needed a solution to put something on the floor fast that the dogs would lay on. Could be the dog laying in the middle of the rug in the catalog sold me!!! After ordering 3 3x5 green multi for my door areas, I decided to have a custom 4x10 runner made. Same colors, same great quality, and fast!!! I couldn't be happier!!! (And the rug liners are nice, too) (Posted on 3/27/12)

I purchased these rugs for my kitchen. They have been better than I expected! They look great and can be cleaned so easily and look good as new! I had looked for braided rugs at many stores. The quality and workmanship of these rugs is superior. I will enjoy them for many years. Once again, Sturbridge Yankee Workshop has delivered a great product! (Posted on 3/27/12)
SO HAPPY!!!! Review by Leigh Schrope
These rugs are great - I have ordered at least a dozen in all sizes and they really clean up well. I'm also so pleased to finally have found a rug made in the USA that won't break the bank! (Posted on 3/27/12)
Love this rug Review by Lyn
I received this rug in 3x5 for in front of my front door. I just love it. It is so much softer than my last outdoor rug and the colors are so pretty. I got the hunter green multi (that the dog is sitting on) and the colors are very true. (Posted on 3/27/12)
Heritage Braided Rug Review by Debbie
I love this braided rug. I looked at many rugs to go under our kitchen table before I purchased this one and I am so happy with my choice. The rug cleans beautifully and still looks like brand new. I also purchased the runner later to go in front of my sink and it is perfect for all the wear and tear that a rug in this location takes. (Posted on 3/27/12)
Great quality Review by Joyce
I bought the long runner for my entry way and the largest oval for my living room. I love the quality, the look and its ability to hold up to traffic. We also wash ours outside with water and have also used a shampooer and it holds up well. Definitely recommend. (Posted on 3/27/12)
Heritage Braided Rug Review by Lisa
I love this rug! I bought the "black multi" and it looks great in my family room. The colors in this rug match my decorating colors and I'm very happy with purchase. Thanks Sturbridge for another awesome product. (Posted on 3/27/12)
Gorgeous Color Review by Alison
I ordered this rug just 7 business days ago and it's in my kitchen already. I ordered the burgandy 8x11' rug and I was concerned about how the colors were going to come out because it looked purpley online and the blue and red looked really bright. It's gorgeous the colors are perfect rustic county, just what I was going for. I love it. I can't comment on it's durability as of yet but my folks have had theirs for about 5 years and it's still as good as new. I'm going to buy another one for the family room. (Posted on 3/27/12)
