Headin' Home Print
A black buggy rubles down the country road towards the welcoming white house in the background as blackbirds gather on the fence to look on with keen attention. An orange triangle on the rear of the buggy indicates that this is a slow moving vehicle on these country roads. On the large white barn we see a classic and historical image of a star quilt pattern boldly displaying against the muted colors around it. Quilt imagery on barns has been prevalent for hundreds of years, thought to have originated in Pennsylvania. Various quilt patterns may have even been used to distinguish the family residing in the home.
