An Artist's Inspiration
Bonnie painted as a child, but it wouldn't be until after her youngest son entered kindergarten that she would really be able to find time to pick up a paint brush. She grew up on her family's horse farm in Canaan, NY and assisted with the farm until she had a family of her own. When the duties of family and farm life settled down, she had more time to revisit her artistic ability. Bonnie began to explore craft shows and folk art galleries and realized she very much enjoyed the folk art style. Inspired by her childhood upbringing and interest in historic homes, her ideas for subjects to paint were endless.

Success through Encouragement
In 2003, she was encouraged to enter her paintings in art shows, which gave her excellent success. She worked with a small gallery through 2005 and increased that success, and in 2007, Bonnie was invited to design an ornament for the Blue Room at the White House; a great honor. She painted the National Historic Landmark of the Martin Van Buren House and received rave reviews.
Today she lives happily with her husband Scott, three sons, dog Misty, and cats Mittens and Scooter on Spring Gait Farm.
