Long before the doorbell, folks used door knockers as a tool to announce the presence of visitors. Our whimsical Pileated Woodpecker Door Knocker features a hand-painted carved bird in pine, then mounted on an attractive birch base with a sturdy leather cord and a small birch twig pull knob. The birch base is finished leaving white birch bark on both sides, and an outdoor scene is painted on the upper end. Polyurethane finish provides protection against sun and rain.
