FOLK ART
Folk art is an American tradition, evolved from our earliest crafstmen and women of colonial times. Painting furniture, decorating furniture, creating watercolors or oil paintings, and stitching wool rugs have all become part of the American rustic style of design known as folk art.
Here at Sturbridge Yankee Workshop, we celebrate and honor the incredible talent of folk artists. Their beautiful renditions of American landscapes, holiday figures, Colonial Williamsburg, and familiar animals are charming and perfectly suited for your country home. Let's meet some of the artists.
