Artist Dianna Swartz
| Folkheart A favored artist by many of our customers is none other than, Dianna Swartz. Folk artist Dianna Swartz was born and raised near the hills of Southern Ohio. She was drawing and painting they say, before she could walk or talk. Today, Dianna lives a bit more north in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. For the most part, she is a self-taught artist, crediting her inspiration to God. Her artwork has been featured at the American Folk Art Museum in New York and has also been transferred to many household decor items such as: pillows, throws, woven tapestries, furniture boxes and even wall paper! Dianna even had the honor of designing ornaments for the White House Christmas tree, as well as for the Governor's residence in Ohio. She is nationally recognized for her "Folkheart By Dianna" collection of prints being produced onto framed art and furniture. |

| To Grandmother's House We Go Another theme of Dianna Swartz's artwork at Sturbridge, is our Grandmother's House Print and our new for the holiday season, Grandmother's House Needlepoint Pillow. Featuring a family sleigh ride scene on their way to grandmother's house. The children are bundled up tight on this cold winter's day as they travel, "over the river and through the woods," across the snowy hills. Nostalgic and charming, both the print and pillow convey a feeling of "home for the holidays." The print is under glass in a two-tone wood frame and the pillow has a cotton velvet, chocolate colored back with zipper. For a beautiful addition to your country home this winter, consider Dianna Swartz's Grandmother's House as a theme you too, want to embrace. | ![]() | ||
![]() | Effortless Brush Strokes Dianna Swartz has become known for her clean simple lines, warm colors and picturesque scenes in the folk art community. She claims that sometimes she herself, is amazed at the wonderful results she achieves in her painting. The brush strokes sometimes seem effortless to her, that when she is finished it's a lovely treat for both her and her followers. She has experimented in other mediums such as oils and fabric, but much of her work is done with acrylics. We can see her clean crisp lines here to the left, on our Pig Storage Box.
